“My dog Schotz was completely out of control, jumping on anyone that came to our house, licking and nipping at our hands, unable to pay attention to us when we gave her commands and so difficult to walk that my arm hurt after trying to walk her.  We decided that something needed to be done about her behavior or we would have to find a new home for her.  Monique at Liberty Dog Training stepped up to the challenge and has helped us learn how to eliminate these bad behaviors.  With some work and understanding of why Schotz was behaving this way we have seen our dog stop licking & nipping at our hands, I walked her for over an hour yesterday and was able to enjoy the time with her and not worry about tugging and pulling at her leash the entire time.  We have had company come to our home and comment that she is “like a new dog”.  I know that we will need to continue working with our dog but I now have the tools I need to have a well behaved dog.”

"We've been working hard with Yancey and can say that we are making progress. She is doing very well on her leash now that we are trying very hard to walk her daily. She is significantly better about the random barking and stops most times as soon as corrected if we even have to do that. She still has work to do (as do we) but there is a remarkable difference in her reactions to noise. We still have a ways to go with the strangers, but she is calming down faster and isn't as angry as before. We are also routinely using the doorbell when we come in and out of the house and that seems to be desensitizing her to the noise. It is difficult to always correct her immediately with a newborn in the house and I know that has impacted her progress. However, we are working hard at that and feel confident that Yancey is going to get better and better. She already is significantly calmer in her everyday life. We'll keep on!

Thank you for working with us! We are happy thus far with the result and know that Yancey is a happier pooch for it!"

Miss Pooh Bear, Cody, and Scooter are a few of Liberty Dog Training’s best clients.  Monique helped them settle in after we moved up here from Florida.  Seems in the move, Scooter decided he was going to be the “Alpha Dog”.  And I don’t think the other dogs saw it that way!  Monique came in and helped me and my husband understand some of the new behaviors we were seeing and helped us deal with them.  We now have a balanced family and controlled dogs.  We just recently added a new puppy named Dexter and he is anxiously awaited his training and boy does he need it!

Monique is patient, caring and willing to go the extra mile to get you or the dog through whatever the problem is.  The best dog trainer I have ever worked with, and I highly recommend her. She is our favorite and only dog trainer!

"I just wanted to say: Thank You!  Our puppy is fitting in with the family quite well thanks to you. I really appreciated all the help you gave me on how to teach my puppy to behave properly .  She is learning all the basic things like go outside to do her business, walking on a leash.  So I guess I really just want to say...Thank You!"

(Sam has been adopted!)

Sam is a foster friend that I took in for a companion since I live alone. As you can see in the pictures, he is very cute, the perfect size and trouble from the word go. With a mind of his own he chewed up several items in a very short time even though I was in the house all day with him! So, one of us needed a break!

Megan from K9 Concierge, for whom I am fostering Sam, recommended Monique from Liberty Dog Training to help me learn how to control Sam. On a very hot Sunday afternoon, Monique met Sam and me for the showdown. She listened to all the problems I encountered with Sam, wrote every thing down, watched how I handled Sam and came up with a plan. On that hot afternoon, Sam and I learned that I was the boss! I learned the proper way to discipline Sam when he forgot who was leading, or when he chased after some one that looked more interesting that I, or after other animals. Within an hour, I had the answers to become a proper dog handler and Sam was already learning how to be polite.

Since then, Sam and I work on our new skills every day and we are both better. I am very pleased with the training I received and the results achieved because of Monique. I recommend Monique without hesitation.

Thank you,
